Gregor Smukovic, akademski slikar
Gregor Smukovic (born 1989) is a professional Fine Art painter from Slovenia. He graduated with honors from painting at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Ljubljana, Slovenia in 2012.
He specializes in classical oil painting with main interest in detailed figurative compositions in direct contact with nature. All of his oil paintings are painted on a high quality linen canvas, which he personally primes in multiple layers using classical technique with natural glue and bologna chalk.
His work can be found in private collections worldwide. Occasionally he organizes workshops for smaller groups on approach of creating a classical oil painting.
Gregor works full time as a fine art painter for scenography at Slovenian National Theatre Opera and Ballet Ljubljana and Slovenian National Theatre Drama Ljubljana.
